Scenario 3: Multiple Failures




  • A node (different that the one running FTM) dies and FTM fails shortly after
  • Heartbeat ARMOR first recovers FTM.
  • Application stops executing
  • State of FTM (including information about nodes in network, ARMOR distribution, running applications) recovered from checkpoint
  • Recovered FTM detects node failure and fail-over occurs
